Lines, Stripes and Color 線と幅と色

カンバスではなくマットボードに塗りました。タダでボードを先生にもらったので、あまり考えずに遊び気分でいっきに描き上げました。汚い色を出すつもりだったんだけれど親によると「きれいな色」らしい。

絵の画材などを売っている店でちょうど合うフレームがあったのですぐ買いました。家族が「かっこいい。絶対１０００ドル以上の値がつく」と言ってくれたときはお世辞でも嬉しかったです．．．絵自体の画材は５ドルもかけてないのに．．．　「どっかのお金持ちの生活感が無い家にでも置いてありそう」か．．．

父が「白い区切りがいいね。線が無かったらすこし落ち着かない絵かも」と言う。そうでしょうか．．．？

I painted this on a mat board, not a canvas. Because I got the board for free, I painted on it spontaneously and without thinking. I tried to make dirty colors, but people tell me they're "pretty colors."

I found a frame that fit it nicely so it was bought immediately. My parents told me "It looks very cool. It should be at least 1000 dollars." ...I was happy, even if they may have been simply exaggerating... But I've only spent less than $5 on the materials besides the frame!

My dad says "the white lines are nice. Without them, the picture would be kind of restless." Really...?

Amazon Sunset アマゾンの夕日

I painted this from a photo in a book, and it is also the first oil painting I've ever done. It's blurry, dark and I don't like it... My art teacher gave me the frame for free, so I put it in that.

"Streets of Imari" Framed 伊万里の絵を額に

前に描いた伊万里の絵を母にあげたら立派な額に入れてくれました。私なんかの絵のために、お金を出してフレーミングまで！？うれし〜い！これはその写真です。ちなみに母がフレーミングを頼んだ画家は私の絵の先生です。
When I gave the drawing of Imari to my mother, she got it framed. A frame, that costs $$$, for my crappy drawings!? Anyway, I was really happy. This is a photo of it. By the way, the artist my mother asked to frame this was my art teacher.
