Mother and Child 母と子

These are a drawing and painting I did looking at an old photo I found of my mother and my younger brother. My father took this photograph. At one look I fell in love with how well he had captured the moment. I began sketching but then thought "It might look better as a watercolor" so I painted it also. The colors of the watercolor didn't turn out so good.

母と弟の昔の写真を見つけて描きました。父が撮ったらしいです。あまりにもその瞬間が上手くとらえられていたので描きたくなりました。はじめにスケッチをしたのですが終わらないうちに「水彩の方がいいかもしれない」と思い水彩画の方を描いた訳です。色彩がよくなかったかな？
